As British Columbia continues to establish itself as a global leader in forestry and land-use priorities continue to evolve in regard to First Nations traditional territory, it is increasingly important for forestry field workers to recognize culturally significant spaces.

Specifically tailored to the priorities the client's local environment, Heritage Field Reconnaissance training provides students with the skills and knowledge to identify archaeological sites, culturally modified trees and other cultural features within  forestlands. The training combines experiential, hands-on learning in actual field sites alongside reviews of relevant guidelines, standards and legislation regarding preservation and respect for significant sites.
