Delivering practical, hands-on training and work-ready graduates.
Since 2012, Stillwater Consulting has successfully partnered with companies, communities and post-secondary institutions across British Columbia to provide innovative, customized training solutions.
Our forestry training programs are designed to provide students with practical learning experiences and valuable networking opportunities in a relatively short period of time. Ranging from 4 to 19 weeks, our programs have become the preferred industry training model across British Columbia.
Customized to Your Needs
Our training programs are highly adaptable. Course curriculum can be modified to meet the needs of organizations, communities and the local and regional demands of the forest industry.
Delivered Anywhere in BC
Stillwater’s training is completely mobile and can be delivered anywhere in the province. With our top-of-the-line equipment, students will learn to use the industry standard tools and vehicles in the region they’re likely to live and work in.
Practical Skills & Connections
With a focus on experiential learning, our programs take place outside the traditional classroom setting, enabling participants to get outdoors and develop the practical skills employers are looking for. Many of our programs include a multi-week job placement so students can gain work experience and make the connections they’ll need for the next step in their forestry careers.
Our program instructors are knowledgeable xperts from the field. Backed by years of industry experience, they provide students with a safe training environment as well as valuable industry connections.
Our goal is to ensure that new skills translate into long-term, rewarding employment opportunities for our graduates. Most of Stillwater’s programs include several essential forestry-related certifications and a multi-week job placement to facilitate the transition into the industry.
Past program modules have included:
Forestry Field Studies, Silviculture, Wildland Firefighting, Occupational First Aid, Chainsaw & Brush Saw Skills, Tree Planting, ATV & UTV, Team Building, Leadership & Management Skills.
